Exclusively local operation
Somnelya Sync reads the therapy device's SD card on the user's Mac and sends the data directly to their iPhone over the local network. The transfer is encrypted and requires pairing confirmed by the user.
No health data is sent to Somnelya, stored on a Somnelya server or accessible to the publisher. There is no Somnelya account, advertising, analytics or tracking SDK in either app.
Data processed on your devices
Depending on the SD card, data may include device model and identifiers, sessions, duration, pressure, leaks, respiratory events, indices, waveforms, oxygen saturation and pulse. With separate optional Apple Health permission, the iOS app may read only the categories chosen by the user.
Preferences, the local record of consent and the technical identities of paired devices also remain on the user's devices.
Purposes and consent
The data is used solely to import, store locally, display, explain and compare the information requested by the user and to enable local synchronisation. As a cautious approach, processing relies on consent and explicit consent for health data. Apple Health remains optional.
Somnelya is intended for personal information and is not presented as a medical device. It does not diagnose, provide medical advice or replace a healthcare professional.
Retention, security and deletion
Data remains on the Mac and iPhone until the user deletes it. It is encrypted at rest, with device-bound keys stored in Apple Keychain. The SD card is read without modification and local transfer is encrypted.
Users can delete their data and withdraw consent in the app's settings. Apple Health permissions are managed separately in Apple's settings. No third party, partner or server receives health data, and Somnelya performs no international transfer of it.
Your rights
Where applicable, requests for access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability or objection may be sent to privacy@somnelya.com. Because the publisher receives no health data and has no account system, the publisher cannot remotely identify or retrieve data stored on the user's device. EU users may also complain to their competent supervisory authority; in France this is the CNIL.

downloads.somnelya.com distributes only the Mac companion. Its access log excludes IP addresses, user agents, referrers and query strings. It records the date, request method and path, response code and transferred size. The error log may contain an IP address where needed to investigate an error or attack.
These logs are used solely for download security and availability on the basis of legitimate interests. They are deleted after seven days and accessible only to Valentin Marchand and, where technical intervention requires it, the hosting provider OVH SAS. No cookie, analytics tool or tracker is used.
Changes
Any material change to the purposes or this policy will result in renewed information and, where required, renewed explicit consent in the app.
